Redneck Love horn

redneck love hornHey, here's one, the Redneck Love horn. I found this by accident. It looks like the Lovehorn is a popular novelty item in the world of rednecks.
Perfect gift for any guy to let her know how ya feel (typical redneck humor - a little off color, but no profanity).
Git chers todaaay... O listen to a real redneck o'er here. And just to ensure that you qualify for the redneck version of the Lovehorn you might like to answer some of these questions:
  • You give your marital status as "often."
  • You met your wife through the personal ads in Bowhunter magazine.
  • You think a sex change means trying the backseat.
  • Two of your weddings made America's Funniest Home Videos.
  • You took your honeymoon photos to Show-and-Tell.
  • You've ever lost a wedding ring in a poker game.
  • You learned the facts of life by watching dogs.
  • Proposing to your wife included the words "when I get out."
  • Winn-Dixie catered your wedding.
  • Your mother genuinely admires your girlfriend's tattoos.
If you answered Yes to 2 or more of these questions, get on over to the Redneck Love horn store.

Love Horn Launch

The Soho Kitchen love Horn launch was a success. Lots of visitors and a great vibe made for a cool, mellow evening. We had a little horn buying frenzy for a few hours, selling 12 of the little wooden honkers. I much appreciate the support, and you buyers have a one of a kind art piece and I have the chance to make more. Thats what its all about. Thanks!

Interactive Art revisited

Aperture
Project from the clever UDK guys.aperture is a facade installation with interactive and narrative display modes.
Way back in the mid 1990's with the advent of cd-roms, interactive art began to take on new properties. We as users of this new form of communication had the opportunity to click a button. Wow, a button, once clicked any number of visual morphs and transitions would ensue. It was often very impressive. With the developed popularity of the internet, everything is interactive. Buttons are everywhere, click, click, click, and off we go to another world, another screen of information or visual morphs and transitions. This series of interactive art works recently developed by Kyle are the antithesis of contemporary interactive art. You actually click a real button and it goes honk. Nothing happens. No morph, no transition, no newly revealed information. There have been no computers nor electronics of any kind used to develop the lovehorn. Interactive Art is often referred to as immersion experiences, something similar to life. Lovehorns have been designed to be a part of that life. The lovehorn speaks on behalf of the user, it says "give me a hug!" or "life is fun, lets laugh!", or " I'm serious, and art is serious,...Not!" Whether you enjoy the fun of a lovehorn, or think its a stupid joke, the truth is that the lovehorn is little more than a do nothing button. Honk, Honk. Here are some examples of Contemporary interactive art available online. There are a lot more, if you search google:
